        廖琳俐,出生於九州熊本,現居台灣新北從事創作及研究,廖琳俐的作品基調兼容日本民族韌性細緻之特性以及從微觀宇宙本質的探索,透過大量肉身測度、手操作身體拓延去觸知可視與不可視、可控與不可控、有機性與無機性之間不可視的感性能量,特別喜愛使用紙材、植物纖維、有機物等自然材料去實踐她的藝術觀。作品跨及空間裝置、立體造型、繪畫、雕塑、行為表演、錄像等,然而藝術家帶著自幼對於大自然的敬重及喜愛,游移開發中大都市與大自然兩地觀察,特別是對原住民“與大自然和諧共存”的哲學以及純淨樸素的靈性召喚所感動,並轉化以另一種創作手法融合在創作中,透過軟性的藝術,消化、反思、修補與重建人與自然的平衡關係及擴延藝術領域的邊界在她的創作及研究中醞釀著。

      Lin-li Liao, born in Kumamoto, Kyushu, is now living in New Taipei City, Taiwan. She is engaged in creation and research. Her works are compatible with the characteristics of toughness and meticulousness of the Japanese nation and the microscopic exploration of the essence of the universe. Through a lot of body sensing, Liao uses her hands to drive the body to stretch, feeling the emotional energies between visible and invisible elements, controllable and uncontrollable materials, and organics and inorganics. She especially likes to practice her artistic ideas with natural materials, such as paper, plant fiber and organic materials. Her works include installation art, three-dimensional modeling, painting, sculpture, action performance, and video. Besides, Liao has respected and loved nature since she was a child, and often travel between developing cities and nature to observe their similarities and differences. In particular, she is touched by the philosophy of “be in harmony with nature” from the indigenous people and also their pure and simple spirit. Therefore, she integrated this philosophy and spirit into her creation. Through the art with softness nature, her creation and research not only digests, rethinks, mends and reconstructs the balance between human being and nature, but also further extends the boundaries of arts.

本次駐村作品

「時空拓墣」

        萬物瞬息萬變不斷流轉,在歷史洪流中什麼是永恆?任何事物並不會全然消失,會轉化為另一個型態循環,唯一不變的是變,日月星辰、自然像我們開展它內在變幻莫測的遼闊。
        藝術家的主體過去一直在處理建構造型的敘事性和材料質變間相融並進的關係,造型靈感源自理型大自然中有機植物、生物型態的參照與想像,夏末初秋進駐到台東海濱旁的TTICC兩個月,抬頭仰望遼闊天空與海,無時無刻開展出無限變化的生命氣息,這完全是長期高樓建築遮蔽的台北看不太到的視覺經驗,藝術家於大地召喚受到啟發,從一直以來塑造自然表層形象轉向更關注自然與物內在的真實,凝聚在地色彩質感,蒐集台東在地民情風景,強調過程的活性,拓延繪畫與雕塑領域範疇的可能性。及藝術展覽時間和空間中不斷變化、甚至消逝的過程,將看似無形的空氣溫度作為材料將它可視化,將自己投身在宇宙的精神洪流之中與之共生共息。
        Over time, things change. What is eternal in the torrent of history? Nothing will disappear completely, but will be transformed into another type to cycle. The only constant is changing. Sun, moon and stars have been showing us their boundless and unpredictable interior in a natural way.
        The artist has always focused on the interrelationship between the narrativity of the shapes and qualitative changes of materials, and the inspiration of her works was inspired by the reference and imagination of organic plants and biotypes in nature. In the late summer and early autumn, the artist stayed at TTICC next to the waterfront in Taitung, where she could look up to the boundless sky and the sea and enjoy the life with infinitely changing atmosphere. This was completely a different visual experience that she cannot see in Taipei, which was hidden in high-rise buildings. The artist was inspired by the call of the earth, and her works changed from the image of the surface of nature to the intrinsic reality of nature and things. The artist held the local colors, collected the local customs in Taitung, emphasized the flexibility of the process of creation, and expanded the possibilities of painting and sculpture. The time and space of the art exhibition is a process of change or even disappearance. The artist took the invisible air and temperature as a material and visualized it. She devoted herself to the spiritual history of the universe, coexisting and learning with it.
